Welcome to Ardsley
The one square mile Village of Ardsley, within the Town of Greenburgh, is about 22 miles north of New York City. Although not on the Hudson River (Ardsley-on-Hudson isa section of neighboring Irvington), Ardsley is a top choice of buyers looking in the River Towns. Like its neighbors on the Hudson, Ardsley offers its residents a small-town feel, excellent public schools, open green spaces and an easy commute to midtown Manhattan. The housing stock is varied: split levels, capes, ranches and new colonials are predominant, but there are also townhomes, like Boulder Ridge which has its own pool, courts, and clubhouse, and condominiums, like those at Ashford Court, which are within walking distance to the restaurants and shops along Ashford Avenue and just steps from the commuter bus to the train station. Ardsley has two supermarkets, and some great restaurants, and is home to the Riviera Bakehouse, which is known throughout Westchester for its colorful and whimsically designed birthday cakes.
Transportation
There is no train station in Ardsley itself. Residents either use the Dobbs Ferry station on the Hudson Line or the Scarsdale or Hartsdale stations on the Harlem Line. Travel time to Grand Central ranges from 31 to 54 minutes. Only 22 miles north of New York City, with easy access to points north and south via the Saw Mill Parkway.
