Welcome to Dobbs Ferry
The 2.4 square mile Village of Dobbs Ferry, with a population of approximately 11,000, is enviably located in the historic River Towns, along the Hudson River, and only 20 miles north of New York City. Dobbs Ferry has small-town charm, a revitalized waterfront, well-respected public schools, and an easy commute to midtown Manhattan. Housing stock is varied: there are tidy homes on smaller lots near town, and larger colonials, Victorians and a few midcentury moderns or newer homes further from town. There are also condominiums, co-ops, and luxury townhomes at The Landing, which offers pool, tennis, and a clubhouse. Dobbs Ferry has its own major grocery store, plus local shops and excellent restaurants along Cedar, Chestnut and Main, including Parlor, a hip spot for creative pizzas and cocktails, and Sushi Mike’s, a local favorite; or try Half Moon where you can enjoy dining on the waterfront or meeting friends for drinks at the outdoor bar and patio.

The district has two turf playing fields, one at the High School and one at Springhurst Elementary. There is an afterschool program for k-5, featuring courses like chess,
lego builders and art. Classes are held at the elementary school.
